Scholarships
We offer a number of scholarships and awards to young people who can show us how their various talents would enrich our school community. Scholarships and awards are available for boarding and day places at 11+, 13+ and 16+ and carry a maximum fee remission of 10%. At 11+, scholarships are awarded in recognition of both evident talent and genuine enthusiasm for a chosen discipline. Academic Scholarships are determined by performance in the entrance examination and interviews. Additional scholarships are available in Sport, Music, Drama, Art and Dance. At Third Form, Academic, Sport, and Music Scholarships, Jolie Brise All Rounder Award and Awards in Drama, Dance and Art are all available. For Sixth Form students, the school offers a number of scholarships and awards. With the exception of Boarding Awards, Sixth Form scholarships and awards are available for both day and boarding places.
Bursaries
Dauntsey’s offers a range of means-tested bursaries for pupils at 11+ (First Form), 13+ (Third Form) and at 16+ (Lower Sixth). These bursaries are offered to bright, deserving pupils who would benefit from a Dauntsey’s education but whose parents or guardians cannot afford the full fees. All bursaries are means-tested and are subject to school funds being available. The award is reviewed annually for changes in parents’ financial circumstances and may be adjusted as a result. Awards cover from 10% to 100% of the school fees, and the higher level of awards may also attract further support for essential educational costs.
A-level performance
Value-added and attainment indicators for sixth-form students (England). Figures are for context; always confirm with the school.
Progress Score
These figures tell you how much progress students who studied A levels at this school or college made between the end of key stage 4 and the end of their A level studies, compared to similar students across England. These scores are also known as 'value added' scores.
The scores are calculated by comparing the A-level results of students at this school or college with the A level results of students in schools and colleges across England who started with similar results at the end of the previous key stage – key stage 4.
A score above zero means students made more progress, on average, than students across England who got similar results at the end of key stage 4. A score below zero means students made less progress, on average, than students across England who got similar results at the end of key stage 4.
Average Result
This tells you the average grade that students achieved per A level entry.

Parent reviews
What current and recent parents say about Dauntsey's School.
“'I don't think there could be a better school for my son.'”
“In the short time we have been part of the Dauntsey's community, we have been impressed by so much of the school life. The speed at which our child has settled in and quickly adapted to secondary school is testament to the kind and supportive environment created by staff and other pupils. ”
“My child has enjoyed a wider range of brilliant opportunities at Dauntsey's. The teaching in the Sixth Form is excellent, with a good focus on the future and next steps post Dauntsey's. All the staff have been extremely supportive, particularly his tutor and head of house. He has really excelled at Dauntsey's and has set his sights high for the future. ”
